Are you looking for a story that has twists and turns and will keep your mind turning in lots of directions then this is the one to pick up a fabulous psychological thriller that kept me turning the pages, can this perfect family stay perfect?

Austin, respected high school teacher Kate, stay at home mum and a pillar of the country town and year twelve student Mina are living the perfect life in Fir Falls a small town in country Victoria that is until eighteen year old Mia attends a party and ends up with a photo splashed on social media, Mia of course is devastated and it looks like Austin’s perfect life just might crumble.

When Kate married Austin all those years ago her life became just what she wanted they have a beautiful daughter a lovely home and all is good they are respected in the community but when Mia has that photo put on social media, Kate will go to any lengths to protect her daughter and her family.

This story will uncover secrets and lies that have been kept for many years, who are Austin and Kate really, what happened in their pasts that might now come and pull their perfect life apart and what of Mia she has always done the right thing and now what is going to happen with her life?
I do highly recommend this one to any lover of a good psychological thriller, it is well written with fabulous characters and MS Marsh digs deep into their lives and brings it all out on the pages, I loved it.

Another fabulous nail biting thriller from Stefanie London, three school friends make a vow to never speak about that night again, it has been twelve years since that night and life has happened for all of them Sofia, Ellie and Rose still best friends and now they are coming together to celebrate Ellie’s wedding, what a weekend this turns out to be.

Sofia, good Italian daughter, she is determined to become a lawyer and be dux of the school losing her sister in a car accident changes Sofia, makes her more determined. These days she is happily married and a sought after wedding planner.

Ellie is being bought up by her mum after her parents divorced and one thing that she wants more than anything is to be a Hollywood star. Ellie is now a Hollywood star on the rise and is about to marry the man she loves.

Rose is a twin and her wish is to be an Olympic swimmer but that changes and no one really believes her but her twin Lilly goes ahead and becomes that star and Rose has married and become a mother.

But as Ellie’s wedding gets closer things are starting to turn, bad reviews old photos released to the press and when they arrive at the destination for the wedding they discover that Michelle is there the only other person who knew about that night but is there someone else who knows who is now seeking revenge, will they make it through the three days at this isolated destination with their lives?

I do highly recommend this one, nail biting and suspenseful as the friends do their best to uncover who is behind the revenge. This one had me turning the pages it is intriguing and a fabulous read, I loved it.

Yes, this one has been sitting on my kindle for way too long, and I am glad that I finally read it, this one is a really good mystery, psychological thriller that pulled me in, how would your life go if you lost your six year old daughter? Abbie finds out when she lets go of her daughter’s hand for just a minute, life changes in a few seconds, there are questions, searches but will they ever find Sarah?

Six years later Abbie has come a long way oh she never forgets what happened but life must go in, she has just married the man she loves, Murray, she is very close to her sister, Jess and her mother Martine is still the same hard to get on with and very difficult at times but Abbie knows that there is love there.

Everything changes when she receives a phone call from a number she doesn’t know and he tells her that he knows what happened to Sarah and sets Abbie on a path to ruin but as far as Abbie is concerned she will do anything to find out what happened to her daughter, nothing will stop her, but what she discovers will shock her.

This is a very complex story and at times I did get frustrated with Abbie and her mother Martine but I really enjoyed this one and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller, I look forward to reading more from this author.

When Dale and his wife move from their city apartment to the suburbs to make a new start after a miscarriage, you can tell Dale is feeling uncomfortable right away but his wife is thrilled with the move, then they see their new neighbour, Talia she appears a bit different and as Dale learns this woman has been the victim of domestic violence and is mute, what is their life going to be like both have new jobs but things soon turn for Dale when he attempts to protect his neighbor from a beating and for the life of him he can’t remember what really happened.

Dales life unravels fairly quickly for him he must keep it all from his wife, how will it all turn out?
I must be honest and say that I found this story hard to follow from the beginning but I wanted to find out what happened and when I got to the end, WOW a twist I never saw coming and it is the perfect ending for this book.

This is one that I would highly recommend to any lover of a good physiological thriller, I am sure it will leave you thinking about the story for a while to come.

This is a great twisty psychological thriller that had my head spinning from one side to the other, yes I did get confused sometimes trying to work out what was happening, but I was turning the pages to get to the end and discover everything and it is a busy book lots going on but I was cheering Sadie one.

Sadie Haller-Bent has just got divorced from her detective husband Milo and lost her beloved father at the same time and also has something that she is deciding what to do about, when she is woken one night with a man at her door trying to break in a strange woman on her balcony offering help, what does she do? She takes a chance on the woman and escapes into a nightmare of running this woman tells her not to involve the police, especially her ex-husband, because they want Sadie dead, why would someone want to kill her? The plot thickens and then said woman gets killed Sadie finds herself alone until a young woman steps in to help, can she trust her, will they find the answers to what is happening and why?

This story is one of the most twisty I have read for a while and the author did well I had no idea until the very end the twist in this story, fabulous characters and a well told story that ended with me getting the answers. This is one that I would highly recommend, especially to anyone who loves a good psychological thriller.

I thoroughly enjoyed this twisty psychological thriller I met most of the characters in My Sister’s Husband so was familiar with them but there is a newcomer who becomes Brooke’s boyfriend he is very good looking and does everything right and this is Brooke’s first adult relationship with everything she has been through in the past, but her sister Lizzie who is a psychologist gets really bad vibes form Noel Harwood when she meets him in one of her art therapy classes for released prisoners and she does not yet know that he is Brooke’s boyfriend seeing as they have had a falling out, how will all of this turn out?

Lizzie is very protect of her sister and niece after all that they have been through in the past, they are now estranged their Aunt Alice and Brooke is still not giving her a chance on explaining what happened to make Brooke not want to talk to her, but she will never give up on loving her and protecting her, will Brooke give her a chance to put forward her worries before it is too late.

Brooke is managing well with her daughter a new job she employs a nanny housekeeper, Hazel and when Hazel asks her out for drink to meet her housemate Brooke goes along and meeting Noel Harwood soon changes her life, she is falling for this handsome fabulous man but soon Lizzie is pushing for her to re-think her relationship, Brooke is not happy, trust is not easy for Brooke, she thinks Noel is wonderful until she discovers maybe he isn’t.

This one will have you turning the pages as danger lurks, this one is filled with secrets from the past that have sprung up now to cause hurt and pain, will Brooke, Lizzie and Hope come through alive and well and then the twist at then had me shaking my head. This one is filled with fabulous characters good and bad and I would highly recommend to anyone who loves a good twisty psychological thriller.

This family comes across as perfect widowed, Claire mother of three now grown boys, now with partners of their own Matt and Nikky, their two boys Flynn and Ryan, Anthony and Belinda and Vaughn and Paige a new relationship, but are they perfect?

Matt and Nikky work hard and it seems have it all but when Nikky starts to fall apart and question herself, she needs to get to the bottom of why and what she realises shocks her.

Anthony and Belinda have a beautiful house two businesses but what they want more is a baby, but pressure and debt is playing on their relationship.

Vaughn and Paige have just moved in together with Evie’s three year old daughter and are so much in love and very much looking towards a happy future together, but.

Claire widowed when her boys were young but is she who she makes herself out to be, is she pushing her children in ways that she should not, is she evil and narcissistic?

I have had this one on my massive TBR pile for way too long and I am so glad I finally picked it up, what a brilliant story, could one person really be this bad, you need to read this one, I could barely put it down. I do highly recommend it and I loved the ending so much.

WOW this one is a page turner and while reading it, it was bringing back memories of watching Rosemary’s Baby all those years ago, who can you trust in this apartment building called Windermere, Chad and Rosie are just about to find out when they move into their new apartment 5B.

Rosie and Chad are left an apartment from Chad’s uncle Ivan in the historical building Windermere in Mays Hill, New York, with its own doorman and old lift, some say it is haunted some say it is cursed, and soon Rosie and Chad are caught up in a world of strange happenings, a feeling of being watched and heard.

Rosie is an author of true crime stories and is set to write about the Windermere and its past but when things start appearing before her and Chad’s cousin Dana is found dead, and it appears that Chad is keeping secrets from her the accusations are flying in all directions, the feeling of being watched gets stronger and things are tensing up big time especially when another apartment owner dies.

This one had my mind going in all directions and had me on the edge of my seat, the author has created and bought to life the characters on the pages, my heart went out to Rosie with everything that was happening but the question why was it all happening how far would tenants go to get what they wanted and uncovering things that had happened in the past very eerie, would the truth ever be uncovered.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a good thriller that will make you think.

Book two in this series and it is another twisty mind turning story, when Rose McGovern’s sister, Daisy is found dead at the bottom of a bridge it is declared a terrible accident but Rose knows better and will never give up until the truth is found no matter what danger she puts herself in.

Rose makes herself so well known to the local police station with her thoughts on what really happened that she is soon banned from going there and also taken off to the local psych ward for three days but give up, never.

When Rose in her research discovers another woman’s death eerily the same as Daisy’s Rose is even more convinced that there is something sinister going on, her research leads her to Orin whose sister in law died in a tragic accident as well and between them they continue to do their research and discover a pattern but they both know that the police will not help so it is up to them to find the answers, but will they be able to, who are they up against, who can she trust and how many deaths have there been?

This one again had my mind jumping from one thought to another, fabulous characters Rose and then Orin and Jared added so much to the story and suspense, the more they uncovered the more questions there were, this one is compelling reading, the ending was surprising.

I do highly recommend this one to anyone who loves a good thriller that will have you thinking.

WOW this is a twisty thriller, what would you do to save your child and who do you trust? This is the first book I have read from this author but it won’t be the last.

Ari Strange has been through a lot, in the early stages of her pregnancy she loses her husband in a fiery car crash, two years on and her and her daughter, Lucy-Kate are doing well living in an apartment and she has a job, yes things are good, until they aren’t.

Ari is woken in the middle of the night by a strange sound and the cry of her daughter, when she gets up to go to her there is a strange woman covered in blood holding her daughter and she takes her precious Lucy-Kate, Ari is beside herself and runs out in the freezing cold after the woman, but when the police arrive they are accusing Ari of firstly not being Ari Strange but another woman and they are accusing her of kidnapping her own baby and no one will listen.

Ari’s grumpy neighbour, Denny is there and strangely he seems to be trying to help Ari and soon they are on the run together after nearly being shot, will Ari find her daughter before it is too late but can she trust Denny, is he somehow linked to Lucy-Kat’s kidnapping?

This is a fast paced and fabulous story, lots of twists and turns as Ari uncovers so many clues, it kept me on the edge of my seat and it was a one sitting read. I do highly recommend this one, I loved it and look forward to more in the series.

I loved Kylie Orr’s debut book and have been eagerly awaiting her next one and wow I was pulled into this dark, gripping and compelling story, a story that I think should be told, it takes in the life of a young mother in a very happy marriage, but having a baby and sleepless nights and no time for herself takes its toll, when her husband Joe suggests she has a night to herself in a luxury hotel, Gracie says yes, but maybe she shouldn’t have.

Gracie Michaels arrives at the luxury hotel ready to rest, but maybe a bit of shopping and a drink at the bar first, it has been a while but when she is pulled into a conversation with a guy and one drink turns to two and the next thing she is waking up practically naked with a man in another hotel room, while trying to get way she sees something out of the window, something she wishes she had never seen.

Gracie leaves early and takes her time getting home to her husband and son, with many thoughts going through her mind, what will she do, if she says anything it will probably destroy her marriage, but what about what she saw is that person safe? So many questions, keeping everything to herself is best, but when the police are asking questions about a missing woman and Gracie is called in things heat up and then her son becomes ill and the truth must come out, will there ever be justice for what has happened?

I loved this twisty psychological drama, it is fast paced, and so edge of your seat suspense my heart was in my stomach with what Gracie was going through, and the decisions she made it is filled with intrigue and sadly things that happen too often, MS Orr has written this one with empathy and lots of research I would say, the characters are fabulous and come to life on the pages. I f you love a good twisty tale filled with lots of emotions then this is one to read, I do highly recommend it.

This is a fabulous psychological thriller, four woman, all became widows in their twenties form a group and find themselves meeting once a week to share their grief and they become friends, close friends but is there more to this group than meets the eye, all are very different and from different backgrounds, is there a link, are there secrets?

Isabel haunted by her past when she lost her husband she is not sure that she can keep the secrets about her past for much longer.

Kylie, lost the husband she loved but a diary sees her lose trust in men and she spends her nights looking for fun but what will she find or what will find her?

Hannah she is new to the group and her grief is still new, will this open up wounds in the other widows?

Adriana is moving on but the closer she gets to her wedding the more she worries about her future with Grant, especially when she gets an anonymous email telling her to beware and get out while she can.

This is a twisty story all woman have secrets and are hiding something big but are they linked in some way, if so what could it be. They really do become great friend and show support and when all is reveled wow.

This was a great read that had me turning the pages and guessing till the end and what an explosive end, all woman are wonderful characters and I felt for them all, I do highly recommend this one and look forward to many more stories from S J Short.

I was pulled into this one from the start, it is a suspenseful story with lots of twists and I never saw the ending coming the way it did, it did keep me guessing and changing my mind many times as the clues the clues were uncovered.

Aaron is happily married to Paige and they have eight year old twins Bailey and Bryce, Aaron is a professor at the university and Paige a nurse, when Aaron is given a promotion the pressure is on, he is spending more time at work and Paige already has a stressful job she can feel them drifting apart and when she turns up to a faculty mixer she knows that Aaron is having an affair, with a colleague Dr. Cara Morton and Cara seems to be flaunting that she is.

When Paige insists that he end it Aaron agrees and Paige believes him, they need to save their marriage for their family, but it appears that Aaron is not strong enough and soon there are accusations from Cara and it appears Aaron may lose his job, Paige stands by her husband but when Cara goes missing and Aaron becomes the prime suspect, can she trust him to be truthful, after all she also holds secrets that no one knows herself, will they come through unscathed, what secrets will be uncovered and will they ever discover what really happened?

Both Aaron and Paige are determined to get to the truth and do a bit of investigating themselves and what they discover is shocking.

I do highly recommend this one there are many fabulous characters, good and bad and it is sure to keep any mystery, thriller reader turning the pages as all is uncovered and reveled, with a twist.

WOW this one was a one sitting read, there was no way I was putting it down till I got to the end, I have been eagerly awaiting Jo Dixon’s next book since I read her debut last year which I loved so much and she has nailed it again with a book filled with mystery, tension and wonderful characters and Hobart Tasmania is great setting, come along for the ride I am sure you will love it as much as I did.

Former TV star Remi Lucan has made herself a good life in Hobart, renovating the house that means so much to her after everything that has happened to her, the vicious attack and her divorce from her husband, leaving her career and wifely duties behind has been good for her and her beautiful home is nearly finished, if only she had more money to do so.

Her ex-husband Simon is putting the pressure on her to sell the house and pay him back what she owes, but Remi is desperate to keep her house, so desperate that she takes in a couple of borders, an older woman Josephine and a young woman Emerson, this is hard for Remi but needs must, but when there are a few things happening that are causing even more problems for Remi Josephine and Emerson decide to do some investigating, could there be someone behind these incidents, is someone out to get Remi and if so who?

Remi has always had one close friend, Luke and he is there for her always and as things get worse he arrives in Hobart to help as well, but who is doing these things to Remi, are her new borders involved, it is her ex and his new wife, who and then things heat up, are lives now in danger, will they discover who is behind it before it is too late?

This book has many twists and turns, so many people who could be the culprit, but who? I was tossing around guesses in my mind at each turn of the page, so many wonderful characters in this one, good and bad. I loved Remi she stayed strong throughout all that is and has happened to her, I was cheering her on. This is one that I highly recommend truly if you love a good mystery, thriller one that will keep you guessing then read this one.

Jo Dixon is now one of my favourite authors and I will eagerly be awaiting her next book.

This one had my mind going in different directions, this is another twisty tale of secrets and mystery that had me turning the pages to find out what happened, come along and meet Leah, John and Rylee and see if you can unravel the truth about The Haven.

Leah was a trust fund child but when she is pushed by her parents she rebels and moves to The Outer Banks and purchases a gothic mansion, and here she turns it into a house to help runaways and anyone in need, she soon is working at a nearby orchard and wellness centre Arcania and gets to know the other people who live and work there but Arcania, it appears is not a safe place to be.

As time goes by Leah takes on a young man John who has memory issues and she treats him like a son and he has a daughter Rylee who will always be her granddaughter and Rylee loves her grandmother but she also wants to find out what happened to her mother and spread her wings a bit, this leads her to Arcania where she meets Spencer who has worked there for many years and secrets start to unravel that could turn Rylee’s small family upside down.

I loved this one what a story, very twisty and atmospheric, dark times and some people who will do anything to keep their loved ones safe but is it the right way to go about it? You need to read this one I do highly recommend it and the first book in the series The Retreat

Rainy is an artist and is happily living at the top of Tiger Mountain with her partner Grant, she is content but keeps her disturbing past to herself, they belong to a group of friends who have happy hour and the woman seem to get on well, but when she is convinced to attend a girls weekend in Vegas Rainy is apprehensive to go back to her past.

The tension is high on this weekend and Rainy is sure that something is going on with Tara and Braithe and after a big night out and a visit to a physic that Rainy was not happy about Braithe does not return to the hotel and a when Rainy texts her asking for answers Rainy realizes that someone else has her phone.

A message lets her know that Braithe is being held by someone, someone who knows Rainy and all about her past and Rainy must rescue her friend, but before she follows the rules set, Rainy puts a few things in place and before long she is meeting with her past, danger abounds not only physical but mentally as well.

This was a slow moving book at first then things started to move faster and Rainy is forced to go back to her past and relive so much pain, I did enjoy it very much some twists and lots of things were explained, I was pulled in to this physiological thriller, the end was a fitting one in my opinion and very good, Rainy was a fabulous strong character and I liked her a lot and it is a book that I would recommend.

I loved. Ali Lowe’s Trivia Night and wow I loved this one as well, Ali has a way with words that brings out the best and worst in her characters, this one is twisty, toxic at times and compelling as we get to know the members of the running club from the wealthy beach side town of Esperance, come along for the ride and see if you can guess what is happening.

Carole, Freya, Lotte and Shelby all live in Esperance and all know each other from their school days, but only Carole grew up in Esperance the others came from Shivers Beach the poorer side of the peninsular, but they are all in Esperance now and part of a running club, they are friends, or are they and Lotte and Shelby are twins, but I am not sure that I would like them to be my friends at times.

They all have secrets that could blow the lid off the small community and when one of them is murdered, the fingers start pointing to the culprit and why it has happened there seems to be a lot of people who had their reasons and as I turn the pages and read my mind goes in so many different directions, the twist at the end I didn’t see coming.

This book was so hard to put down it is compelling and gripping as I get to learn all of their personalities and how they meld together, how wealth and power can change people, these woman could be a force as they push and pull each other. I do highly recommend this one to any reader who loves a story that twists the characters relationships and keeps you up all night to the very ending.

Well what can I say, this is book three in the series and it is another roller coaster ride of danger, intrigue and a thriller of a story as Addy and Silas are still hunting the gang of locals who are into human trafficking and baby selling, add to that the Ghost who Addy has been hunting before her return to Solitude while with the FBI and this story gets really dangerous, will they finally get their answers and the man or men?

Addy finally finds the safe houses where the girls are being held but too quickly they are moved, someone else loses their life and Addy is really starting to feel frustrated by it all then to make it worse her dog Dolly is badly injured and Addy is more determined than ever to find her man her dark side is coming out and she really pushes some buttons. Finding a young pregnant girl wandering the bushes pushes Addy to finally call the FBI in and this pushes the gang to get even more dangerous.

This is an action packed, fast paced story that will keep you on the edge of your seat, people are being shot at and killed as Addy and Silas get closer to the answers, this gang is highly dangerous and has been going for years add The Ghost who loves to play mind games with Addy this pushes some more. It does end on a cliffhanger and all I can say is book four needs to be out soon because I need to find out what happens. Truly if you love a thriller that will keep you guessing then this one and the series is one I do highly recommend. Bring on book four.

Nicola Marsh has written a gothic tale set in a very gothic house on the water, there are lots of tales of missing people over the years and links to Vikings and Nordic curses, who are the family who started and continue to run it in all of its different stages, come along and find out.

Lucy Phillips is a librarian in New York, there is just her and her mother, Ava and they pretty much keep to themselves, but when Lucy’s mother dies after a road accident and Lucy discovers a strange Viking tattoo on the heal of her foot she is determined to get to the bottom of it, her mother was so quiet and loving, what has happened in her past?

Lucy discovers a link to a well –being digital retreat called Arcania she books a week to see what she can find out, the owner Cora Medville welcomes her with open arms but the house instantly puts Lucy on edge there is a creepiness about it like someone is watching you, should she stay or should she run?

Cora has been here for years after arriving in town with nowhere to go she is taken in by the good looking son of the owners of Arcania, Harlan and given a job, where she soon discovers that she needs some stability for her future and marries Harlan and has a family but is it the right family, what is happening to workers?

A twisty, haunting tale of long held secrets and a quest to find a Viking artifact that will make everything right, but will it? This one had me thinking and re-thinking throughout and the ending had me on the edge of my seat. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good haunting tale, well written with fabulous characters.

 Quiet in Her Bones

This was a compelling story for me, it really had my mind jumping from one thought to another, it is set in New Zealand and tells the story of Nina Rai and her son Aarav, Nina went missing ten years ago without a trace and there is 250 million dollars missing, did she run from her toxic marriage and leave her sixteen year old son or was there foul play?

Aarav is now twenty six and a best- selling author living in Auckland but after a car accident he is back in his old home with his father, step-mother and half-sister while he recuperates, then out of the blue a green jaguar with bones is found in the forest five minutes from their home, his mother has been found, now he is determined to find out who killed her.

Aarav is having issues after the car accident and there are many people who could have done this to his mother who live in this wealthy community the cul-de-sac is gated and the occupants are privileged and all have secrets but Aarav is having trouble with his memory but is determined to get the answers to his questions.

Aarav thinks of himself as a psychopath and there seems to be a lot of missing memory from the time he last heard his mother scream that fateful night, his story turns in many directions and leads me and himself on different paths but finally the truth comes out and I was shocked, This is a really good story one that had me turning the pages, I do highly recommend this one, Nalini Singh is a fabulous story teller.
